Monitoring
 
The following parameters will be monitored

• Backup Job Completion
• Monitor Veritas backup Exec Media Server
• Monitor Performance (CPU and Memory Use of the Backup Server)
• Verify all backup Devices are online
• Event Log Monitoring

Maintenance

• Modify Backup Job Selection.
• Creation of Backup Jobs
• Reinstallation of Veritas Backup Exec Software.
• Installation of Veritas Backup Exec Hot fixes whenever necessary.
• Correcting agent failure
• Rerun any backup jobs that have failed after rectifying the reason of failure.
• Restart the Veritas backup Exec Media Server if Devices have gone offline
• Analyze and respond to errors and warnings in the Event Log.
• Check for updates
